Guide #51 Tops Diamond’s Bestselling Books List

The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51 took the number one spot in Diamond’s Top Books category in July 2021, the company announced on Tuesday, August 24. Not only that, the Guide achieved the top two spots and all three editions were in the top ten slots.

The softcover edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51 achieved the #1 slot. The hardcover edition followed at #2, and The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51, which features just the pricing date with none of the articles, ads, or other insights, was #7 on the bestseller list.

These results follow a trend in recent years that has seen the Guide atop Diamond’s book category.

“We’ve come to expect that the Guide will be highly ranked in the sales charts when it is released each year, and The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51 did not disappoint. By the softcover coming in at #1, the hardcover landing at #2, and The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51 scoring the #7 spot, I think this signifies just how strong the comic book market is at the moment,” said Steve Geppi, Chairman and CEO of Geppi Family Enterprises and President of Gemstone Publishing.

Overstreet #51 features a Static and Hardware cover by Milestone Media co-founder Denys Cowan (Hardware), inker Bill Sienkiewicz (Moon Knight), and colorist Christopher Sotomayor (The Question: The Deaths of Vic Sage), and a Daredevil and Echo cover by David Mack (Kabuki). Both are available in softcover ($29.95) and hardcover ($37.50).

The oversized, limited edition The Big, Big Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #51 ($49.50) features the Golden Age Daredevil by Buzz and colorist Dash Martin. It is sold out a Diamond, but a limited number of copies are still available on Gemstone’s website.
