Originally produced as a once-a-year mid-year supplement and update to The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, Overstreet's Comic Book Price Update (as it was called for its first 2 issues) increased publishing frequency to quarterly with issue #8 in 1989, and to bi-monthly with issue #20 in 1992. This was the first periodical added to the line-up of Overstreet publications.
