While the physical location of Geppi's Entertainment Museum has closed its doors after 12 years near Baltimore's Inner Harbor, the vast array of collectibles it contained have found a new home at the Library of Congress in Washington DC.

This bargain-priced hardcover volume explores the pop-culture wonders within the Museum at they appeared at the time of its Grand Opening in September 2006 (much of this material will eventually be on exhibit at the Library of Congress).

From the Brownies and the Yellow Kid to Spider-Man and SpongeBob SquarePants and everything in between, Geppi's Entertainment Museum offered an unprecedented look back at over two centuries of American pop culture through the characters and personalities we have grown to love. This special publication gives you a chance to take a part of the museum home with you; to relive memories of childhood; to rediscover old friends and meet new ones; and to enhance your understanding of the ways in which these pop culture icons helped to shape us as a nation and as people.

With hundreds of full-color illustrations of cherished collectibles in the museum collection and with text that not only tells the story of the museum exhibit but throws the spotlight on a wide range of characters that typified every era, Pop Culture With Character: A look Inside Geppi's Entertainment Museum is your road map to this 230-year-long journey through print, radio, film, television, video games, the Internet and beyond.
